Bloodborne Pathogens – Workplace Training Classes
In this class, you will learn:
- Engineering Controls
- Work practice controls
- Personal protection equipment
- Universal precautions and labeling
We will discuss several of the required logs, including sharps/injury, training and vaccination. Furthermore, we will also cover incident reports and a sample exposure plan. The Needle Stick Safety and Prevention Act is reviewed. Diseases discussed are HIV, Hepatitis A, and B and C, just to name a few .
This class is not a detailed science course. It stresses personal protection, proper and good housekeeping practices and documentation.
Student workbook is an excellent resource book to keep. Students take a short quiz at the end. Certification is good for one year.
This class can be taken by itself or added to CPR or First Aid training. Please call for more information.
